What the Varchar?
Take some serious pampering, mix in some healthy, delicious snacks and a glass of red wine and what do you get? The perfect way to end a long work week. This past Friday evening, I was fortunate enough to attend the media preview for The Salon at Whole Body's 10 days of Beauty event that will run February 7th-16th. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the salon from start to finish. The staff was warm, knowledgeable and inviting. (There's nothing worse than walking into a room and not being acknowledged but rest assured that would never happen here. They certainly pride themselves in being welcoming and attentive.)
I started off with a lemon sea salt hand scrub from Bath Petals and then straight to the nail painting station. I chose a sparkly pink color (I knew my 6 year old daughter would approve of) from the Mineral Fusion collection. The manicurist suggested I get my ring fingers painted in silver (a new trend these days) and I kinda like it. Thanks for the tip!
The next stop was the hair styling station. Typically, my hair doesn't hold a curl well. It is naturally as straight as can be -- and to be honest, I can't even remember the last time I even tried to curl it. So, when the staff got wind of that, the challenge was on! The stylist used a flat iron, which was a new trick I hadn't seen before, and some delicious smelling Giovanni styling spray and...voila. Curls!
A special "thank you" to The Salon at Whole Body and Shift Communications for hosting this fun event and the wonderful vendors that supplied the most amazing goodie bag: Weleda, Giovanni Cosmetics, Mineral Fusion, Dr. Hauschka and Bath Petals.
