About a year and a half ago, I decided it was time to join the rest of society and buy a dining room table. (It's true- we went for quite some time without one!) I found a beautiful, dark wood table that seats six and really love it. One fine day, however, someone (Not me!) thought they were using orange oil to clean the table when they were actually using a cleaner that gets greasy and gummy stains out. I'm sure you know what I am referring to...anyway, the cleaner was left on my table for approximately 2 hours and left spots where the glossy finish was gone. It was a sad day for my poor table!
Lucky for me, I had the opportunity to review a product I remember seeing around the house as a kid. Scott's Liquid Gold, a company based where I grew up in Denver, CO, is known for it's ability to clean, protect and restore wood furniture. So, it goes without saying that I had the perfect challenge in mind. Here's how it went...

The first photo shows a spot where the varnish was gone, finger prints and other marks. Photo #2 shows the Scott's Liquid Gold placed directly on the spot. I let the product sit for approximately 20 minutes. Photo #3 shows the remarkable difference after I used a towel to wipe and clean the table with the product.
I am absolutely thrilled with the outcome especially since I was sure I'd have to buy varnish and re-finish the table top. The table was glistening and looked brand new again. I have used other wood cleaners and they clean the table just fine but this one goes above and beyond. Thank you Scott's Liquid Gold!
