Yes the holidays are here and now that my son is older and understands what Christmas is all about, I decided this was the year we would start decorating earlier so we can enjoy the season a little longer. This year we moved houses so I needed to go through my boxes to see what I had and didn't have. I have a list of items I need to replace or want new of and luckily for me I was asked to go check out Kmart's new selection of holiday items!

I have been shopping at Kmart for years but can honestly say that I have not been in one of these stores in a couple of years. Why? Because all the ones around me have closed and I have a lot more Target's and Walmart's closer to my house. However I was pleasantly surprised at what they have done with the stores! When it comes to holiday shopping I have always resorted to Walmart because they have cheap prices and a nice stock of whatever I was looking for. It looks like Kmart is trying to compete with the other big name stores by revamping their image and products starting with the big name celebrities they have started to carry products like Sandra Lee and Jacyln Smith. 

We are big Disney people in our house and my son was super excited when he saw the wide selection of Disney items they had. We got him a Lightning McQueen stocking which went nicely along with the other stockings we currently have. I was in need of something for our front door. I purchased this simple but cute mini wreath that fit perfectly around my knocker.

Overall I was surprised at how much Holiday goods they had and the variety. My only drawback was obviously the convenience of being able to shop their. My closest Kmart was 9 miles from my house and honestly I would not go that far for something simple like lights when I have a Target right up the street from me. If I am in the area however I would stop in.
