Book Review: RX Factor by John Thomas Shaw

Book's that are about thrillers with lot's of suspense always get my attention. An added plus to any books is when they are about topics you feel strongly about.

Synopsis: After emerging from a five year hangover on the Bahamian Island of Exuma, Dr. Ryan Matthews begins his quest to find the truth behind the real cause of the death of his family.

Sobered up by the sensational murder of the family of the new women in his life, Jordan Carver, Ryan sets off on a thrill ride of adventure, marred in danger, with villains at the highest level of both the corporate and political worlds determined to bring him down. To discover the truth and expose one of America's best kept secrets, Ryan will have to bend the rules, break the law and maybe even kill.

Losing any family member to any type of disease is hard enough but knowing that it was something out of your control is even harder. I could not even imagine how this would eat at a person and how they would find the strength to go on living. John did an AMAZING job at really making you feel what Ryan was going through and how when given an opportunity to find out the truth he had to do it for the sake of his family. This is very important for an author to do because that is how you get transported into the story and really feel like you are the one living through it. This was only one part of the story, you also encounter an action packed suspenseful drama that takes into the world of drug companies, politics and those out to make money off of those that seek help. My only drawback is how it ended, not sure I can be convinced that in the real world the government would be the one doing that harm. However, a really good read that once you get started it would be really difficult to put down!
