Molly and the Terrible, Horrible, No-Good Band Aid.



I thought band aids were supposed to be the fix all for kids’ boo boos. I found out recently, with the help of my four-year-old daughter, that this is mostly wrong. I mean, when she fell and scraped her knee last weekend, the band aid did stop the blood from, as she put it, pouring out of her body. Temporarily, the problem was fixed. "I Know How to Fly, Mom!"

The movie "Up" planted the idea in Luke's head that all he needed was a balloon or two and he could fly. He asked me if we could go get some balloons and when I realized why he wanted them, I explained that people don't fly and that it isn't safe to float up in the air by balloons. You know, the small issue that is "what goes up must come down" and that the fall would not be worth the ride!

Alzheimer's Breakthrough Ride-You Can Make a Difference!

Having lost a family member when I was very young to Alzheimer's makes this is very close to my heart. My grandmother lost her sister to this horrible disease and in some ways I am lucky I was young enough to not understand it all completely. Bloggy Moms August Blog Challenge: Fashion + Me = 404 error

Just saying the word "Fashion" when thinking of myself makes me chuckle. I don't own a designer bag or designer anything really.
