Posted by Sandra Gallegos on May 2, 2016 at 8:46pm 0 Comments

There are many gorgeous destinations in the world. But what if you're tired of travel guides always directing you to the Taj Mahal and the Great Wall of China? Here are five lesser-known locations where you can experience the beauty and wonder of nature.

1. Zakynthos Island, Greece

Zakynthos Island is where you'll find the famous "Blue Caves," a series of underwater caves that reflect both the sea below and the sky above. The result is a dazzlingly azure color that stretches throughout the tunnels and caverns, and it has to be seen to be believed. Photographs don't do it justice.

2. Preikestolen, Norway

Archaeologists, grab your shovels and earth resistivity meters! Preikestolen is home to Pulpit Rock, and it's an absolute dream for anyone interested in geology, archaeology or just the forces of…

Three Signs It's Time to See Your Gynecologist

Posted by Sandra Gallegos on May 2, 2016 at 8:44pm 0 Comments

Your reproductive health is just as important as your general health. A healthy reproductive system will make it easier for you to get pregnant when the time comes and can help ensure the health of your newborn child. Experts often recommend that you make an appointment to see your gynecologist at least once or twice a year for a general check up. This lets the doctor identify any potential problems you might have and screen you for certain diseases. In between your regular check ups, there are some times when you need to see your doctor sooner.

You Had Unprotected Sexual Intercourse

During the heat of the moment, it's sometimes easy to forget about reaching for a condom. After having unprotected sexual intercourse with a new or existing partner though, you need to see your gynecologist. If you have a long-term partner, you'll need to make sure that you are not pregnant and that you are safe from any infections or…

All About Physical Vapor Deposition

Posted by Sandra Gallegos on March 9, 2016 at 7:36am 0 Comments

Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coats surfaces for such everyday items as the lights for vehicles and homes, product packages, appliances, and solar panels. The examples of PVD are all around. Yet, many don’t know how this works, or why they’d want the service. So here’s all you should know about PVD.

How Does PVD Work?

PVD adds a protective coating to hard products by using a process that relies on a physical reaction instead of a chemical one. A pure source of something like titanium nitrate is used. In the PVD process, this source is evaporated with an electron beam in the first step. Then, gas is pumped into a chamber containing the object (or substrate) that is being coated. The source that has been evaporated is attracted to the substrate. In the end, it settles on the substrate, effectively coating the material with no added chemicals.…

How to Choose the Right Gun Case

Posted by Sandra Gallegos on March 1, 2016 at 2:06pm 0 Comments

Every gun enthusiast needs a quality carrying case for storage and protection. A quality case is meant to protect the gun from unauthorized access and prevent it from being damaged. Of course, you also need to be able to carry this case to gun ranges and parks. Here’s a few tips for choosing the right gun case with all of these needs in mind.

Portability

Carrying a gun case comes down to weight and the peripherals that can carry some of that weight. Within their product descriptions, sellers will provide the weight of the case when empty. Add that weight to the average weight you’ll add via guns, magazines and supplies. Deciding whether you can comfortably carry that weight will determine the type of carrying product you’ll need. Gun cases can come with pull-out handles or suitcase-style handles. Wheels are another possibility and likely the best option for those with bigger and…
