Posted by Sandra Gallegos on July 24, 2014 at 9:10am 0 Comments

My basic makeup routine includes eyeliner and mascara on my eyelashes. Not until recently did I realize how important having a good eyelash curler was. I have always used a basic one I have found on sale or was given to me by someone who didn't need theirs anymore. I was presented with the opportunity to review the Lovely Lashes Eyelash Curler and I have now realized why I was using the wrong one this whole time! This curler is awesome! You can feel it really picking up your eyelashes and giving them a quick curl. It doesn't hurt and…

An underwriter may also be asked to establish the life expectancy for an insured, a figure that ultimately impacts the pricing and return of…

Can Vegetable Oil Send You to the ER? A Look at Cooking Oil Allergies

Posted by Sandra Gallegos on July 14, 2014 at 7:32am 0 Comments

Every three minutes, a food allergy sends someone to the hospital emergency room. People who suffer from these reactions get used to checking for tree nuts in candy bars and soy protein in packaged meats, but they often overlook the cooking oil. Some of the most common oils can cause some of the worst responses. By learning more about the hidden dangers, you can prevent yourself or someone you love from becoming a victim.

What Is a Cooking Oil Allergy?

A cooking oil allergy, like any type of food-related allergy, is your immune system's response to a harmful "intruder." Most of these reactions come from plant-based proteins that were not eliminated during processing. High levels of these proteins often lead to severe and even fatal consequences.

Our family has changed the way we eat and what we eat and can say that it has worked out perfectly! In the past 6 months my husband and I have lost weight, have been taken off blood pressure and cholesterol medication. When I say we have changed our eating habits I mean we have taken out all the bad fatty foods and have added tons of fruits and vegetables. Our family can not only live on fruits and vegetables so we have found ourselves searching the shelves for those other foods we love that are Gluten Free. Not only do they have to be Gluten Free but they also need to taste good!…

Posted by Sandra Gallegos on June 20, 2014 at 2:00pm 0 Comments

Summer is here and for many kids that means time to kick back and let the good times roll! My son is not in school yet so this is what he does everyday! However that doesn't mean I do not use the opportunity when I am home with him at night and on the weekends to do fun activities that teach him things.

Recently we took a weekend drive to the Ronald Reagan Library where it was my son's first time every being their. He was in awe with all the different items of history plus was having a blast looking for all the jars of Jelly Belly's that he would have on his tables. What he loved the most was seeing the huge Air Force One plane that is at the library. He is 4 1/2 but was asking so many questions about all the different pieces of history that he saw plus weeks later still references back to that trip randomly with little things he…
